Located in Montréal's Southwest, The Phenix offers distinctive office space where industrial heritage, innovative architecture and sustainable design come together in a LEED Platinum certified workplace.
Located at 3500 Saint-Jacques Street West, The Phenix is a 105,000-square-foot, three-storey office building that has been transformed from a former warehouse into one of Montréal's leading examples of sustainable commercial architecture. Originally built in 1950, the property has achieved LEED Platinum Core & Shell certification, reflecting the highest standards of environmental performance and workplace design. The building exemplifies innovation, sustainability and architectural excellence.
Designed as a showcase for best practices in architecture, urban planning and sustainable development, The Phenix incorporates numerous advanced environmental technologies. An innovative eco-machine naturally treats water through bio-retention systems and integrated landscaping, while rooftop photovoltaic panels and a façade-integrated heat recovery system significantly improve the building's energy performance and occupant comfort. Together, these features contributed to achieving its LEED Platinum Core & Shell certification.
The building is home to the headquarters of Lemay, the internationally recognized architecture and design firm. Its industrial loft aesthetic, expansive floor plates and abundant natural light create an inspiring workplace that encourages creativity, collaboration and employee well-being. Artist Taka Sudo completed the striking Phoenix of Human Rights mural on one of the building's façades, giving the property its distinctive identity and name.
Within walking distance of Lionel-Groulx métro station, The Phenix also offers quick access to Montréal's major highways. Occupants benefit from on-site conference facilities, audiovisual services, electric vehicle charging stations, secure access and nearby amenities. Combining award-winning architecture, environmental leadership and an exceptional location, The Phenix offers organizations a truly distinctive business address in Montréal.
